Denise Curry-Duvall

Denise is a native of Marietta, GA, now living in the Florida Panhandle. She owns and publishes a small conservative newspaper. She is married and has one teenage daughter. She loves to read and writing has always been a driving force in her adult life. She is a newcomer to WVU.

The Tear On hearing on old familiar song on the radio alarm clock in the silent stillness, suspended time before the morning light flows across that darkened familiar screen... that heavy motionless moment-stilled... wondering where I am, thinking I am not ANYWHERE I've been before... then, I feel that old familiar twist of the phantom's knife rip holes inside my chest... the gossamer vice that tightens up- until it explodes inside my head and pushes, strains, out through my eyes, a crystal trickle down my cheek leaving behind a glimmering snail's trail of blessed relief.
